Words Without Meaning....

In all the years that I have lived until now, My quest for words without meaning remains unfulfilled, For I am yet to come across any such words, However what I do come across is " Sorry, I never meant it" "That's not what I said" "That's not what I would ever mean" Strangely enough, on occasions more than one People have just said those words which they never meant too, And that to me would have only been possible if and only if, Words ever existed without any meaning... Unfortunately, they don't... Hence my quest continues...

A Wish For A Friend...

One my friends has come up with a social buying website. Through struggles and hardships he and his colleagues have got the site up and running too. They have already had a couple of successful deals tipped off (that's the word they use). And recently received appreciation mail one of their clients, wanting to extend the business deal. A good beginning, I must say. There are thousands who try and struggle. One never realises the hard work these budding entrepreneurs put until and unless its someone close to you or yourself who is involved. If you ever read this blog, please do visit the website that has crazy name  Bonzodeals ( http://bonzodeals.com/login.php?msg=102 ) and if you do find something of your interest, do buy or if not buying recommend it to someone who might find it interesting. It's not only for him but thousand of other entrepreneurs too that I write. If you come across one. Be a part of their success story in any way you can. For they not only create wealth...

On my writings....a reflection on life

It's interesting to note that whatever I write ...appears to be 100% accurate. I hardly miss a single word, even when its actually not there. I read and re-read and find it to be perfectly all right. Then I go ahead and click on the publish post. And I feely happy about what I just published. Great. A few days later when I return to the post and read it again (which I rarely do) I find all the missing words really missing and amused by the fact, how could have I? But then that's the way of life or rather the way my writing as evolved. Today, at times, I really do make a conscious efforts to check out the missing words or even to check out if I put my thoughts correctly. This has helped  me reduce the number of mistakes. But, what I realised today is a strange similarity with life. Many a times we (you would agree, its we and not just me alone, if not read I) are so overwhelmed by certain things and our desire to possess them that we rarely do notice the flaws surrounding ...

A collection of my thoughts....

On  enlightenment There's a very thin line between knowing, being aware, realizing, being awakened and being enlightened. On stories Stories have profound way of impacting life. How effectively they are told and how the meaning unfolds to the listener is what makes the real difference. On waliking I took my first step. Then again I took my first step. Then again and again till I could walk. Then I walked again and again till such time walking came effortlessly. So much so that today I don't even realize that I walk. I just walk. On winning and loosing You either win it or loose it. But things get complicated when you start thinking what should have and should not have been done. The problem is that most of the times people get stuck here. Those who move ahead go on to win really big. Move on. Keep moving forward. On mistakes Its easy to sit back and comment on the mistakes others make, but very difficult to anticipate the same and act sensibly when faced with ...

A thought on stories

Stories have profound way of impacting life. How effectively they are told and how the meaning unfolds to the listener is what makes the real difference. Well I had this thought while listening to one of the priests preach. He made on interesting point though....Often the essence of a story is lost and what remains with the listener is just the story. How true.     Totally unaware was of this very interesting mail shared by friend some time back and I could not have understood its meaning or rather its essence earlier as I have understood it now and it will surely stay with forever. Contents of the mail are shared below. Hope you to get the essence. Why we tell stories… There was once a disciple of a great teacher. Day after day the disciple would sit at the feet of his teacher listening to his instruction. Many people would come to visit and inevitably the teacher would engage them by telling a story. One day the disciple asked; "Guruji, why do you...

Anything & Everything ....Advertisements

Advertisements these days are getting bolder and bolder. The way they are filmed makes me wonder about the logic. I mean look the AXE or Zatak ads and you will understand what I mean. I am more concerned none of the women are complaining either. At times they implicit message is adulterous intentions or uncanny sex appeal one is suppose to get just by using these products and women are to ones who are easily tempted and give in too. What are we trying to get at. And moral crusaders won't bother to do anything about it. But they will definitely go on rampaging about things which are least importance. I don't have anything against the products but the ads yes...can we have some sensible and sensitive ads. There's a new one that has come up of late where the woman is actually shown to be sitting literally on a lap and drooling over the man using that particular deo....Where do we go from here? And no I am not a orthodox or narrow minded person but somehow the definition of...

Anything & Everything 1

Deepika Padukone....Well her supposed item number from the movie Dum Maro Dum is a big dud. She is lacks the sensuousness of Malaika Arora nor does she come close Katrina who sizzled in Sheila ki Jawani...Well Deepika you have a long way to go before you earn that item girl tag. Equally bad is the Deepika shake...where she literally shakes but her face remains expressionless. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A 100 hits

Yes a hundred hits...still can't believe it. But my blog  http://fivewaysto.blogspot. com/  did receive a 100 hits and boy I am happy. It took quite sometime though. Six months (approximately) but then now I look to reach more people. And even if one person benefits out of it....I think my goal has been achieved. Way to go...

A reflection on walking

I took my first step. Then again I took my first step. Then again and again till I could walk. Then I walked again and again till such time walking came effortlessly. So much so that today I don't even realize that I walk. I just walk.

A Stranger With A Cause

It was late in the evening around 8:30 when the entrance gate sounded us about an visitor. A visitor who as stranger. And the first thing he said was, "I am not a salesman, don't worry." He introduced himself as Siddesh Rane, a volunteer for CRY and an engineering graduate. No he did not work for CRY though he did work with CRY.  He and a few of his friends had taken it upon themselves to carry out fund raising activities for CRY's project on protecting and educating the girl child by going door to door. Their reason instead of wasting time on weekends, let's do something fruitful. Moved by the cause they go around visiting one house after another in order create awareness and raise funds. The experience has been good, bad and ugly too. But that has not deterred him or his friends from going about doing their volunteer act on weekends. In course of our conversation he said "Sir, its your choice to donate or not to donate and what amount to donate. I...

Do we really need the Lokpal Bill or commitment to build a better society?

I am really disturbed by a incident where teacher supervising board exams who did not allow the students to copy was almost beaten to death those very students. He is no fighting death. Is this the price one pays for his / her honesty and integrity? On one side we are demanding the  passing of the Lokpal Bill to bring in good governance and curb corruption and on the other have instances like this which make me wonder if we are really ready for the Lokpal Bill? On second thoughts I feel  what we need more than the Lokpal Bill (nothing against it...it is great instrument no doubt)  is a commitment to build a better society and institute good governance in daily aspects of life. And this is easier said than done. Remember Satish Shetty, Satyendra Dubey, and hundreds of such others who died fighting and you will understand what I am saying. Once we really hit that road the Lokpal Bill becomes a great instrument. Till such time I feel we need to commitment for a better soci...

The Surprise Visitor

The other night as I was busy watching television the door bell rang. And surprise, surprise!! my friend  Bona was there at the door. So where is the surprise? Don't friends visit us regularly at our home. Of course they do and there is no doubt about it. But friends who take the trouble to remember you after 12 long years,  without you really bothering to keep in touch with them are rare, especially in their moment of joy. So there he was Bona my friend, soon to be ordained as priest who remembered his lazy and lousy friend with the same energy and zeal of 12 years ago. No doubt he will remember the people whom he is going to serve much better. The ability to connect and a humble nature which Bona comes loaded with is what needed when you are called to serve. So here's wishing him all the success in the path that he has chosen...may the Lord bless and grace his work. Anyone who said surprises at times are really good can now count me in too. No I haven't told Bona ...
