Three years ago in the month of September 2021, I set myself a challenge: 30 posts in 30 days. I dove in with nothing but determination, opening Blogger each day and typing whatever came to mind. To my surprise, I never ran out of steam—or ideas. That journey taught me more than I expected about persistence, creativity, and trust in the process.
I remember starting that first post with a healthy dose of skepticism. Could I really pull this off? Each day felt like stepping into the unknown, yet by the end, I had 30 pieces of writing that I was proud of. It was an achievement born of sheer commitment, and the sense of accomplishment stayed with me long after September ended.
Now, here I stand once again, facing a familiar feeling of uncertainty. This time, however, I’ve chosen October for my challenge—a time of new beginnings, fitting for a new series I’ve long wanted to write: Thirty Days in October and The Day After.
My previous attempts at this series never quite took flight, but this time feels different. There’s a mix of excitement and apprehension, but if I learned anything from my last challenge, it’s that the best journeys often start with doubt. And so, with a nod to all that’s come before and a heart full of anticipation, I say: let October begin.
